I tried on a size 43 in the store and felt it was a bit loose in the front. I prefer the front of the shoe to just touch my toes without feeling tight, so I went with a 42.5. The fit is great overall, though the laces at the very front are a bit tight on my instep. I think after breaking in the insole by wearing them a bit, it'll be fine. The shoes don't slip off, and the lateral support feels good—definitely better than the LeBron 18. That's enough for me since I've rolled my ankle a few times in the LeBron 18, though luckily without injury. Here's my body type: 5'8", 154 lbs, size 42 with high arches. My playing style is more of a 1 or 2 position, with a mix of six drives and four jump shots. I bought these shoes during the National Day holiday in 2023 and have been wearing them for almost four months now. I chose the GT Cut 2 largely because of the success of the first generation, and also because of its configuration and looks, which I really like. These shoes feature a full-length air cushion, plus a horseshoe-shaped air cushion in the heel of the insole. Just looking at the setup, you can imagine the explosive feel they offer. After breaking them in, I didn't experience the expected softness that might have caused me to lose power; instead, it actually helped me accelerate during my drives. As someone who relies on both drives and jump shots, the GT Cut 2 provides a comfortable feel in both scenarios. The full-length air cushion combined with the horseshoe-shaped heel cushion definitely offers top-tier shock absorption. The clear rubber sole, with some parts of the forefoot being regular rubber, is more durable than the first generation. The grip on indoor courts is excellent—quick stops and starts have great traction. I usually play on outdoor rubber courts with a bit of dust, and the grip is still sufficient; there's no slipping. However, the clear rubber sole isn't very durable, though the forefoot, where I apply most of my force, is made of rubber, which helps a bit with durability. The GT Cut 2 has a great look, an amazing configuration, an explosive feel, and good grip (both indoor and outdoor).
